On December 4th, 2009, the legendary Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, Maui, presented their annual “Tree Lighting” ceremony. Immensely popular for guests and locals alike, this charity event benefits the needy children of Hawaii.
At 7:30 pm, to the sound of soaring holiday music, 15 virtual elves climbed the hotel, and transformed this Hawaiian landmark to a magical Christmas wonderland - complete with lights, ornaments, wreaths, icicles, an ancient stone facade and, of course, snow.
Over a thousand guests - from the billionaire businessman to the tiniest tykes - watched together in awe as this astonishing spectacle unfolded. It was PaintScaping magic.
